Part-Time Storage Facility Rental Agent
Essential Functions
- Leases storage space to customers of rental storage facility: Informs customers of space availability, rental regulations, and rates
- Assists customers in selection of storage unit size according to articles or material to be stored
- Computes rental fee and collects payment
- Notifies customers when rental term is about to expire or rent is overdue
- Inspects storage area periodically
- Observes individuals entering storage area to prevent access to or tampering with storage units by unauthorized persons
- Conducts tours of the facility
- Markets and communicates with potential customers in person, over the telephone, and via email
- Assists management in daily office operations
- Planning, organizing, and conducting resident functions as needed
- Prepares marketing materials and distributes them
- Effectively contributes in a team environment
- Maintains premises in orderly condition
Additional Functions
- Preforms additional duties as assigned by the Property Manager
Desired Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma (some college preferred)
- Outgoing and personable in order to establish relationships and market effectively
- Self-starter; ability to multi-task
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to problem solve creatively
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to show and inspect storage units; must be able to stand, walk, and sit alternately depending on specific needs of the day
- Ability to operate Microsoft, including Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
